Yahoo is taking a lot of heat today after announcing disappointing earnings yesterday and offering little comfort to investors and analysts regarding their long-term plans. This has renewed discussion and speculation that Yahoo should sell the company, though, with a market value of around $25 billion, there are only a handful of companies that could afford to make an acquisition. Microsoft is often mentioned as the frontrunner, but Time Warner (parent of AOL) and IAC (conglomerate that owns Ask.com, Ticketmaster, Evite, etc.) have also previously been rumored as candidates. News Corp could also make a play, and while Google might not be able to get a deal through regulatory approval, they have the bankroll to make a bid. So, that said, which company do you think would benefit the most by buying Yahoo? Today’s poll:
Who should buy Yahoo?
