scrabulousAs we reported this morning, Hasbro and Mattel have asked Facebook to shutdown Scrabulous, an application that mimics the board game Scrabble, to which the two game-makers own the rights. While a lot of people have been taking the side of the app developers and organizing groups to protest a pending shutdown, one of our readers offered a good comment taking the other side:

“I understand the sympathy… but Hasbro and Mattel have spent a LOT of money over the years building up and maintaining the Scrabble brand.

To some this may seem a bit silly and petty, that they should ‘just get over it’ and buy the app. But I really, really don’t think the Mattel lawyers are going to just start feeling all warm and fuzzy b/c of an online petition.”

Which brings us to today’s poll question:

What should Hasbro/Mattel do about Scrabulous?
