Google Reader’s new “sharing” feature has started quite a debate, with several commentators arguing that it is a violation of privacy. The issue stems from the fact that Gmail automatically adds anyone who you correspond with to your contact list. Thus, these same people, who you might not know very well, are now able to see all of your “shared” items in Google Reader. On the other side of the argument, Stan argues that those who don’t want to share their “shared items” should simply not use the feature. Perhaps the problem is that it’s an all-or-nothing option at the moment, but today’s poll asks:
